Robert Moyer brings more than three decades of leadership experience in tire operations and retail service to the Tire Recycling Foundation Board. He began his career at Hughes Aircraft as a product line manager before joining Costco Wholesale in 1990, where he has held a progression of roles from warehouse merchandising and tire department supervision to Director of North American Tire Operations, a position he has held for over 20 years. In this role, he has overseen tire operations across the U.S. and supported international markets, with deep expertise in tire service and environmental contracts, scrap tire management, equipment development and procurement, and retail service innovations such as nitrogen inflation and self-service systems. Throughout his career, Moyer has collaborated extensively with leading manufacturers, industry organizations, and regulatory bodies including Bridgestone/Firestone, Pirelli, Michelin, TIA, and NHTSA, positioning him as a respected leader in advancing tire operations and sustainability practices.
